Adjustment of fodder corn harvesting machine: the first part, adjustment and replacement of the nose

Introduction
Corn is one of the valuable foods for livestock. Corn is harvested in two forms: grain and fodder. In grain harvesting, the grain is separated from the corn bush and in fodder harvesting, the corn bush is completely harvested and crushed, then the crushed corn is ensiled until it is fermented and prepared for animal consumption.
Adjustment of fodder corn harvesting machine
The fodder corn harvesting machine is one of the complex agricultural machines and if it is not properly adjusted during harvesting, it will not perform its operation properly. In the following, while introducing the building and specific features of the machine units, their settings are explained.

Steps to do the work:
1- Adjust the position of the nose according to the ground conditions.
1-1- To harvest corn in soft ground, place the thick part of the height adjustment piece under the gear box.
2-1- To harvest corn on an uneven surface, place the narrow part of the height adjustment piece under the gear box.
3-1- To harvest corn in normal harvesting conditions, place the height adjustment part perpendicular to the direction of movement.
2- Adjust the separation plate of the fodder protector using its handles in the up and down directions, as well as far or close to the machine.

3- Adjust the fodder guide in the longitudinal direction and also in a rotational way.

Replacing the nose in the two-row tractor chopper
1- To open the nose, proceed as follows:
1-1- Place the nose in the upper position so that it is released from the holding hook.
2-1- Install the nose base wheels in the corresponding place.
3-1- Open the chain from the chain lock part.
4-1-Release the fasteners holding the nose from both sides.
5-1- Bring the nose down and push it back.
2- To install the nose, proceed as follows:
1-2-Move the car towards the nose so that the holding hook pieces are in place.
2-2-Install the nose holding fasteners on both sides of the nose.
2-3- Mount the chain on the chain wheel.
4-2- According to the type of nose, install the tightening chain gear in the top or bottom hole in part number 1 according to the figure below.
