Connecting the hydraulic hose of the agricultural machine

Usually, one or more outlets are installed at the back of tractors to connect hydraulic interfaces (coupling). By connecting the hydraulic system of agricultural machines connected to the tractor through hydraulic hoses to these couplings, the hydraulic power required for the machine's hydraulic systems is provided and controlled. The hydraulic hose of the car is connected to the tractor coupling through the hose head.

Required equipment: work clothes, Ferguson 399 tractor, agricultural machine equipped with one-way hydraulic jack, hydraulic hose

Work steps:
1 Connect the car to the tractor. Then turn off the tractor.
2 Clean the hose head and around the hydraulic outlet (female) of the tractor.
3 If the cylinder head of the car and the female of the tractor have caps, remove them.
4 Push the connector cylinder forward and insert the cylinder head into the socket.
5 Turn on the tractor and open the hydraulic output lever. If the connection is made correctly, the jack will open.

If the tractor is equipped with two hydraulic outlets, only one of them will have a lever and a jack. If you mistakenly connect the one-way jack hose to the second female, the jack will close when the lever is in the open position.
Before connecting, check the hoses for cracks, loose connections and tears.
The length of the hose should not be too short, otherwise it may break when it is turned around.
If the hose is long, secure it on the machine and in the correct position.
After connecting, check the nipple and the nipple for leaks.
