Hydraulic control systems

Tension control

The traction on the tractor keeps it stable and is special for tools that work in the soil. so that the tractor and tools are not damaged due to changes in soil conditions or collision with stones, etc.

Status control

It keeps the height of the device constant and is special for devices that work above the ground level.

Pressure control

It transfers the pressure caused by the weight of the device to the rear wheels of the tractor. This system was designed for heavy discs in old Ferguson tractors, but it was obsolete due to the dangers of using it.

Sensitivity control

It controls the speed of raising the tools. Note that the lowering of the tools is due to their weight.

The arms are controlled by the hydraulic levers of the tractor. The shape and position of hydraulic levers in different tractors are different from each other. Some tractors have separate levers for hydraulic control, and some others have a main lever and a position selection lever. Ferguson 285 tractor control levers are shown in the figure.

The method of using hydraulic levers:

To work with the hydraulic levers of the Ferguson 285 tractor, we do the following:

Using traction control: put the position control lever in the transport mode and work with the traction control lever. In this mode, by lowering the lever, the arms will go down, and by raising the lever, the arms will go up. In this case, the sensitivity control lever should be placed in the slow position.

Using the position control: put the tension control lever in the highest position and leave the sensitivity control lever in the slow position. In this case, the position of the arms can be moved with the help of the control lever.

Safety Control the hydraulic levers only from the seat of the tractor.
