Connecting agricultural tools to the tractor

Definitions and prerequisites for connecting agricultural machines to tractors

Javid Kesht Leyzeri Co.Ltd (Mardani Trading)

Many agricultural machines need a tractor as a power supply unit to work. While pulling and moving agricultural machines, the tractor provides the power needed by these machines and tools to perform agricultural work.

Connecting the car to the tractor includes connecting the chassis of the car, connecting the hydraulic output, the power axis, and the electric power of the tools, if any.

Connecting the car chassis to the tractor:

Agricultural machines and tools are divided into four groups according to the method of connecting the chassis to the tractor.

First group: tools that are permanently fixed on the tractor with bolts and nuts. The connection of these devices is called fixed connection.

Second group: tools that are connected to the tractor at only one point. The connection of these machines is called tension connection. In this connection, all the weight of the car is on its wheels and the tractor only pulls the car.

The third group: tools that are connected to the tractor at two points. The connection of these devices is called semi-mounted. In this connection, part of the weight of the car is on its wheels and part is on the wheels of the tractor.

The fourth group: tools that are connected to the tractor at three points. These tools are called riders. In the rider connection, the entire weight of the car is transferred to the wheels of the tractor, and the car becomes a unit with the tractor.

Methods of connecting agricultural machines to tractors

Tractors and trailed agricultural machines (especially riding types) are divided into four groups according to the dimensions of connection points and power consumption. Before connecting the car to the tractor, pay attention to the compatibility of the car with the tractor in terms of dimensions and power consumption.

The first group: these machines are connected to a tractor whose power is about 20 to 45 horsepower. Gardening tractors such as Goldoni tractor are part of this group.

The second group: This group includes agricultural machines suitable for tractors with a power of 40 to 100 horsepower. Ferguson 285 tractor is part of this group.

The third group: a group of machines that need a lot of power and are therefore connected to powerful tractors. Their required power is around 80 to 225 horsepower. Ferguson 399 tractor is in this group.

Fourth group: This group includes machines that are made specifically for a tractor and are designed according to its equipment. The power of the tractors of this group is 180 to 400 horsepower. Forest tractor (Skidder) is part of this group.

Today, all agricultural and horticultural tractors are equipped with suitable equipment for connecting mounted and semi-mounted machines.

One of these three-point connection equipment is a tractor. The three-point connection consists of the following main parts.

1 Left and right tension arms (1) to which various machines are connected.

2 Two connecting arms (3), each of which is connected to a tension arm and moves it up or down.

3 Two lifting arms (5), each of which is attached to one side of the lifting axis in the form of a thorn and moves along with it to raise the tension arms with the help of the connecting arm.

4 The middle arm or the third arm (2), one end of this arm is attached to the tractor chassis between the two lifting arms, and the other end will be attached to the third connection point of the car.

5 restraining chains, the work of these chains is to prevent the swinging movement of the tools connected to the three-point connection.

One of the main advantages of the rider connection is that the machine can be controlled with the help of the tractor arms. The hydraulic system of the tractor has four different control systems to control the tools that are connected to the end arms.
