Settings of the Mowers
After connecting the mower to the tractor and before entering the field, it should be adjusted. The adjustment of the mower has a significant effect on increasing its useful life, as well as improving the quality of work and the uniformity of cutting the product. Each Mower has its own settings, that's why we check the settings of each one separately.
Adjustment of Drum Mowers
Roller mowers are among the machines that require few adjustments. These settings can be easily implemented by the device user. That is why these mowers have become popular in the country.
Cutting height adjustment:
The cutting height of fodder may be different depending on the field conditions and the type of plant. When harvesting alfalfa, you should try to keep the sprouts close to the ground so that the growth of the crop for the next crop is faster. But in rocky fields, you should harvest the crop from a higher height so that there is less damage to the mower. The cutting height in these mowers can be adjusted in two ways:
A) Replacement of sliding trays:
Mowers in which the cutting height is adjusted by changing the stray trays are equipped with spare trays, one series of trays has a low cutting height when closed to the machine, and a high cutting height in the other series. it is possible.
B) Use of spacer washers:
cutting height can be adjusted by adding a spacer washer between the tray and Drum. Usually, in different mowers, three or four washers with a thickness of 3 mm are available to increase the cutting height.

Adjusting the floating spring (adjusting the weight):
The working Mower must be able to follow the low and high ground. For this reason, an adjustment spring has been installed on the Mower by which the float of the Mower can be changed.
If the weight of the mower on the ground is low, the mower will constantly jump up and down and the cutting height will not be uniform. The high weight of the Mower makes the Mower unable to pass the small obstacle and its parts are damaged.

Work steps
1- Connect the mower to the tractor.
2- Adjust the cutting height.
2-1 With the help of tractor hydraulics, keep the mower at 0.5 meters above the ground.
2-2 Place tripods under the Mower to restrain it.
2-3 Open the screws connecting the tray to the Drum (Aleni screws) and remove the tray
2-4 Install the height adjustment washers in place and fasten the tray to the Mower with the corresponding screws.
2-5 After a few hours of work, you should tighten the screws again.

After installing the spacer washers, you should use longer screws (40 mm long) instead of the previous screws.
3- If the ground has a lot of unevenness or stony, set the floating spring in high tension mode, and if the ground is flat, set the spring in low tension mode.
3-1- To place the floating spring in high tension mode, place the Mower on a ramp so that the Drums are on a higher level.
2-3- Open the spring at point A and close it in the lower hole at point B.

Disc mowers settings
Disc mowers, like other forage harvesters, need to be adjusted to get the best working efficiency. The settings of the disc mowers are: cutting height adjustment, rowing board adjustment and harvester float adjustment.
Activity steps
1- Adjust the cutting height of the disc mower by changing the position of the heel of the shoes.
When adjusting the cutting height, pay attention to the fact that the cutting height is set equally on both sides of the machine.
2- Adjust the rowing board by changing its holes.
3- Adjust the float of the mower.
