The application of pen plow is different according to the factor of soil erosion (branches), the time and purpose of their use. Pen plow is used in autumn for deep plowing. It also made the lower layers penetrable. and accelerate its evolution. Goose claw plow is used to break surface layers. During fallow season, after deep fall plowing by pen plow, in the time interval between plowing and the right planting time, whenever the surface of the land dries up due to the cessation of atmospheric precipitation, they plow the land with goose claw plows.

A large part of the agricultural land area of our country is planted as rainfed. Dim Kari is fundamentally different from Dim Kari. Rainfed planting is based on scientific and technical principles. Observance of these principles leads to the protection and optimal use of water and soil in the direction of food production.

Some important points in rainfed agriculture are: The depth of the top soil layer is low in most of the rainfed lands. Plowing should be done in this low layer. Mixing a large amount of subsoil with topsoil reduces its fertility.

1- In rainy lands, humidity is very important. Overturning the soil exposes the moist layer of the soil to sunlight and as a result, soil moisture is lost. It is forbidden to turn the soil in rainfed lands. Pen plow and crow's feet do not turn the soil.

2- The surface of the soil should not be free of cover. Because the cover protects the soil from erosion.

3- In areas where the amount of rainfall is less than 300 mm, it is not possible to do rainfed farming every year. Therefore, the rotation of fallow and growth is common. In the fallow year, the land should not be abandoned. Rather, operations that maintain and increase moisture storage in the soil should be carried out.

4- Plants that are suitable for dry conditions should be planted in dry lands. The planting method in rainfed agriculture is different from irrigated agriculture.

Compliance with the above points requires the use of machines, equipment and special methods in rainfed agriculture. Use a pen plow for deep plowing and goose claw for shallow to medium plowing. These machines do not return the soil. Therefore, they do not waste soil moisture. Also, these machines preserve plant remains on the surface of the earth to a great extent and prevent erosion and evaporation. At the same time, they make the soil permeable and ready for cultivation.

The purpose of plowing with goose claw plows are:
Breaking the shale of the earth's surface and preventing the loss of moisture from the shale cracks
Creating soil mulch to maintain and store moisture in the soil
Increase the permeability of the soil surface
